NOTICE OF MASTER
PLAN/PRELIMINARY
PUBLIC HEARING
A Master Plan/Preliminary
Public Hearing will be held for
the Estate of Jane Alden Scott
Subdivision on January 3, 2017
at a meeting of the Jamestown
Planning Commission beginning at 7:00 p.m. in the Town
Hall Council Chambers located
at 93 Narragansett Avenue in
Jamestown.
This project consists of a 2 lot
Subdivision with two existing
structures requiring waivers to
subdivision regulations for access to the site and zoning variances for Parcel B for being an
undersized lot (A variance for
size 31,650 sq. ft. where 80,000
sq. ft. is required) and Parcel A
for not having proper frontage
(A variance for frontage which
is not accessible on Newport
St.) nor the required lot size
for a multi-family dwelling
of 3 units (A variance for size
88,808 sq. ft. where 200,000
sq. ft. is required) in the RR 80
district. Both lots are accessed
from Highland Drive via a common driveway. The present

street address of the premises is
359 Highland Dr. accessed from
Highland Drive. The project is
comprised of Tax Assessors Plat
(AP) 10 Lot 40. The property
is less than 1/10 of a mile south
from the intersection of Walcott
Avenue and Highland Drive on
the east side of Highland Drive.
Interested parties may examine the plans for the proposed
Subdivision at the Jamestown
Planning Office, located at the
Town Hall 93 Narragansett Avenue Monday through Friday,
between the hours of 9 am to 4
pm by calling 423-7210 for an
appointment.
The proposed Subdivision
may be revised by the Planning Commission as a result of
further study or because of the
views expressed at the Public
Hearing.
