Police Log

The Jamestown Police Department from Sept. 29 to Oct. 6 responded to 380 calls for service. Of those calls, officers performed 215 security checks of vacant homes, businesses and public buildings. The police also responded to two car accidents, 12 fire calls, eight animal complaints, two parking complaints and five alarms. Officers conducted 23 traffic stops, resulting in one arrest and three citations.

No contact

Aimee Andrade, 19, of Antham Street, Jamestown, was charged Sept. 29 for violation of a nocontact order. According to police, Andrade was arrested following an investigation on Hull Cove Street. She was taken to the police station, processed, and held overnight. Andrade was transported to court in the morning.

Drug possession

Kellan S. Ross, 27, of Vanstone Avenue, Warwick, was charged Sept. 29 for possession of a controlled substance. According to police, Ross was arrested following an investigation on Hull Cove Street. Officers found bath salts in Ross’ possession. He was taken to the police station, processed, arraigned before a justice of the peace, and released after posting bail. A court date was scheduled for Nov. 13 at 2nd District Court in Newport.

Warrant

Stephen M. Andrade, 54, of Antham Street, Jamestown, was charged Sept. 29 for a bench warrant issued from 3rd District Court in Warwick. According to police, Andrade was arrested following an investigation on Hull Cove Street. He was taken to the police station, processed, and transported to the ACI in Cranston.
