G. Paul Damon

G. Paul Damon, of Jamestown, died peacefully with his family by his side on Nov. 2, 2015, after a short illness.

He leaves behind his beloved wife, Cynthia Leonard, and his only child, Mackenzie Damon, also of Jamestown, whom he adored.

Born in Warwick, he was the son of the late George W. and Eleanor (Jacques) Damon. He was the brother of Kristine Damon of Warwick and Jacqueline Waddington and her husband Robert of Warwick. He also leaves behind many cousins, nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly, and his in-laws, including William Leonard of Jamestown.

A summer resident of Jamestown for 25 years and a year-round resident for the past seven, Damon loved to sail and was a member of the Conanicut Yacht Club. He also enjoyed golfing, cooking and advocating for Lyme disease awareness and prevention. Most of all, he cherished being with his family.

Services are private. The family invites friends to visit on Thursday, Nov. 5, from 3 to 7 p.m. at his residence.
