JAMESTOWN PHILOMENIAN LIBRARY ALL PROGRAMS ARE FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC

Grades 3-4 Book Club – Fortune Falls by Jenny Goebel Wednesday, Feb. 14 3-4 p.m. “In Fortune Falls, where superstitions are real, and all children must pass regular “luck tests” to see if they are worthy, ill-fortuned Sadie has always been deemed as unlucky, and shunted aside for her luckier younger brother but when she finds an unusually intelligent black cat named Jinx, her fortunes begin to change for the better.”

Children and Tweens Lego Club Thursday, Feb. 1, 8, 15 and 22 3-4 p.m. Children of all ages are invited to attend the Lego Club. We will have a theme each week and build on that theme. We typically build for 50 minutes and spend the last 10 minutes sharing our creations. Participants 7 and under must be accompanied by an adult.

Sundays in Jamestown — The Friends of Jamestown Library Present: The 2018 Winter International Film Series — Sunday, Feb. 11 3-5 p.m. The Women’s Balcony. A bar mitzvah mishap causes a major rift in a devout Orthodox community in Jerusalem.

Needles Galore Knitting Group Monday, Feb. 12 2-4 p.m. Knitting instruction for beginners and project assistance for the more experienced knitter with Nancy Mowbray. Newcomers and drop-ins are welcome. Free and open to the public. Sponsored by the Friends of Jamestown Philomenian Library

Tuesday Matinee – Goodbye Christopher Robin Tuesday, Feb. 13 1:30-3:30 p.m. Domhnall Gleeson, Margot Robbie, Kelly Macdonald. A behind-the-scenes look at the life of author A.A. Milne and the creation of the Winnie the Pooh stories inspired by his son C.R. Milne.
